Chiltern District Council and South Bucks District Council’s planning teams have now become a joint service. While every effort has been made to minimise disruption, some changes may become apparent.  This information is to bring you up to date with the new service: From 4 December 2017 the combined South Bucks & Chiltern Planning service will operate from the Council Offices in Amersham at King George V House, King George V Road, Amersham HP6 5AW.   All contact phone numbers and email addresses for officers within the new combined Planning service will remain the same. South Bucks Planning Committee meetings will continue to be held at the Denham offices and Chiltern Planning Committee meetings will continue to be held at the Amersham offices

Bath Road closures

Bucks CC have advised closures of the A4 from January through March next year. Starts from Hitcham Lane and runs westwards for several miles. The reason is unclear (identified as "conventional program"). The whole road won't be closed all this time. It will be a rolling program of part closures across the time frame. A4 Cycleway Protest

The proposal from Bucks CC to construct a cycleway along the A4 through Taplow was withdrawn for re-evaluation last year after intense local criticisms. It now appears to be returning essentially unchanged. Bucks CC Councillor Dev Dhillon,  SBDC Councillor George Sandy and Taplow Parish Council are all calling for a public meeting with BCC to defend this continuation.  HTS is strongly supporting this call.
