Sports Person of the Year
The competition for the Taplow Sports Person of the Year was announced at the Taplow Heritage Day. It will be an annual event open to man and women age 18 and over with handicaps for certain of the eligible events according to age and gender. Entrants are required to register to complete three of four events - 3 mile run : 9 holes of golf : 200 metre swim : 101 in lowest number of darts - in their own time and to email their results to the judges by the October 5th deadline. This year are there are 35 competitors - 28 men and 7 women. The name of the winner will be engraved on the Taplow Sports Person of the Year silver cup. At a ceremony to be held in the Oak and Saw on Saturday October 5th, the winner will be presented with the cup to hold for a year.
