Editorial

A very short editorial as this issue is bursting at the seams already.

We bring you the first published master-plans for the Mill Lane redevelopment, articles on William Wood and Sons, the Rowing Club, and an interesting bit of geology right on our door-steps. Fred Russell asks after the fate of small birds and chestnut trees, Gill Holloway reminds us to protect our right of access to the river at the Mill Lane Drawdock, and Mary Trevallion introduces us to some new footpaths. Esther Willmore reviews a book, and Neil Blundell suggests a new village shop.

There is a lot to think about, and we would welcome your views in the Forum section of our website.
