At the request
of some local rail users, we recently took on responsibility for watching over
Taplow Station. We are talking with First Great Western and Network Rail about
improvements to services and the station there. Between electrification and
Crossrail there are lots of big projects going on and Taplow should not be left
behind. We are also worried about the parking situation and are also speaking
with Bucks County Council in the hope of a possible partnership with FGW to
provide adequate, fairly priced off road parking.
We would like to organize a "Friends of Taplow Station" group
which we would support in our efforts there. We know local involvement is key.
Any advice you can provide would be appreciated.
