Mill Lane Site Planning

Berkeley Homes 2015

A new set of planning applications was submitted in June 2015. There was a public exhibitions to show the plans:

SBDC eventually gave approval to these plans, subject to a number of conditions.

Berkeley Homes 2014

Berkeley Homes have now bought the site, paying £23.5M for the main part of it. The gas-holder site apparently still belongs to National Grid, but is included in the same set of planning applications.

Berkeley held public exhibitions in April 2014 to present their initial plans, followed by another exhibition in July 2014 with updated proposals. The July exhibition material is available at www.taplowpapermill.co.uk and there is also a feedback form.

Four detailed planning applications were submitted to South Bucks District Council in late 2014. These were considered at the planning meeting on 17th December 2014, with the following results:

As the main application was rejected, presumably the developers will now think again and come back with a modified set of proposals.

Planning Brief 2012

There are signs of movement at Mill Lane again.

The Development Brief for the Mill Lane site is now available on the South Bucks District Council website. Please have a look and submit your comments to the Council by 14th December 2012.

Barratts are proposing to take over the paper mill site along with land belonging to National Grid (the old Gas Company offices and the gas holder site).

Outline plans in 2011

An initial presentation was given at the Taplow Parish Meeting on 17th May 2011. Here are some relevant documents provided by the Hitcham and Taplow Society:

There was an exhibition of outline plans on Thursday 16th June 2011, on the St Regis Paper Mill site. There was relatively little detail available:

Feedback will be accepted by post up to 1st July 2011.
