Berkeley Homes have now bought the site, paying £23.5M for the main part of it. The gas-holder site apparently still belongs to National Grid, but is included in the same set of planning applications. Berkeley held public exhibitions in April 2014 to present their initial plans, followed by another exhibition in July 2014 with updated proposals. The July exhibition material is available at www.taplowpapermill.co.uk and there is also a feedback form. Four detailed planning applications were submitted to South Bucks District Council in late 2014. These were considered at the planning meeting on 17th December 2014, with the following results:- 14/01714/FUL (Application A - Main application) rejected
- 14/01715/LBC (Application B - Glen Island House Listed Building application) accepted

- 14/01760/FUL (Application D Gas holder application) withdrawn
